Inis Energy of the Sea Sales Provide Core Funding
for Dolphin and Whale Protection
The seas and oceans of our planet provide a wealth of riches to our everyday existence. From the life-giving rain that nourishes crops, to life-saving medicines; from the fish that come from the ocean floor to feed us, to the goods that are transported on the sea’s surface - the ocean plays a role in our life in some way every day. And of course, it is home to millions of creatures who’s very lives depend on it’s health.
Fragrances of Ireland is committed to the protection of the seas and its inhabitants. By donating 10% of all Inis Energy of the Sea sales to the Irish Whale and Dolphin Group, they help protect the environment and promote awareness.
Inis’ is Irish for island,

The Irish Whale and Dolphin Group (IWDG) is a relatively small organization dedicated to the conservation and better understanding of whales, dolphins and porpoise in Irish waters.Core funding therefore requires a “leap of faith” by the funder as they don’t necessarily get their corporate logo on a high profile piece of equipment, nor are they linked to an important piece of research that makes some earth shattering new finding.
Parallel to Inis’ Core funding support has been their tireless support for “Whale Watch Ireland”, which Inis have sponsored each year since 2004. This All-Ireland event is one of the largest events on the Irish wildlife calendar, which each year sees huge numbers of whale and dolphin enthusiasts join IWDG on headlands and cliff tops for guided land-based whale watches thoughout the four provences.
This event is free and open to all, and is more than just a data gathering exercise, as it informs and inspires people to become actively involved in local biological. The conservation dividend from this event is immeasurable.
